Free Concerts in August

Every Wednesday night until August 24 The Canal District in Worcester hosts a free outdoor concert. Five food trucks will be on-site for food and beverages. The music is free and no ticket is needed. Just show up and bring a lawn chair or blanket! Lineup: 8/3 Howie Day, 8/10 Mychael David, 8/17 Matthew Sanchez, 8/24 We & Mr. Jones.

August is FREE at Worcester Art Museum for the month of August! This includes access to all special exhibitions, gallery exhibits, and programming including museum tours, arms and armor demos, family activities, nude drawings, and art education for kids.

Worcester Restaurant Week 2016

Fill your appetite without emptying your wallet! Worcester Restaurant Week allows people to sample food from a wide variety of Worcester's best restaurants without breaking the bank. Participating restaurants lower their prices and create a special menu, offering a three-course meal for only $24.16. Tag your photos #CentralMassEats for a chance to get featured.

Spirit of Hudson

Spirit of Hudson

Choose from over 120 craft beers from 60 breweries and enjoy food from area restaurants for the Spirit of Hudson Food & Brewfest. Dogfish, Harpoon, Medusa, Wachusett, Wormtown are some of the many brewers on-site. Restaurants include Feng, 110 Grill, Texas BBQ, Bolton St. Tavern, and many more!

India Day

The India Society of Worcester presents India Days - a celebration of Indian culture and cuisine. Representing 20+ Indian states; the festival will feature multi-region cuisines, parade, kids zone, meena bazaar, free health stop, special decorations, and a bridal show.

Meet The Filmmaker

It's a story of passion and creation. A story of a great artist creating his last work of great art. See the film, meet the filmmaker. The Museum of Russian Icons will show the film “Let There Be Light”  with the director, Peter Swanson, present for a Q & A after the screening.

African Concert, Workshop and Dinner

A day of African Music and Dance followed by a special evening concert and African dinner. Along with musical performances, there will be an all ages drum work shop with a master drummer, and a dance workshop with Master Dancer Joh Camara. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own drums for the workshops.

When: Saturday Aug 15 from 10 AM - 5 PM / Concert 6 PM - 9:30 PM

US Rowing National Championships

US Rowing National Championships

The 2016 USRowing Master National Championships returns to Lake Quinsigamond. This 4 day event, hosted by Discover Central Massachusetts (that's us!) and Quinsigamond Rowing Association, will feature athletes 21 and older competing for national titles in 202 categories and is expected to attract more than 5,500 visitors to the region.

Explore the EcoTarium in a child-free environment with exclusive access to The Ecotarium's interactive exhibits and collections! Meet local groups as they discuss the upcoming street arts festival POW WOW!Join local food truck Say Cheese! and DJ Jon Strader for a night at the museum.

LIVE! Caterpillar Show

All ages will enjoy this spectacular caterpillar show at Tower Hill Botanic Garden with caterpillars ranging in size from some as small as a fingertip to others larger than an adult finger! Get your cameras ready! These stunning creatures will keep the kids entertained and parents in awe. While you're there be sure to explore the grounds to see gardens in peak summer bloom.

Celebrating Italian Heritage, the Italian Festival in Worcester features food from 22 local Italian eateries, a fireworks show, live entertainment, bocce tournament, beer garden, kids zone and marketplace.

C-Mass GeoFest

Loaded with a variety of caches from tourist friendly "park and grabs" to trail hiking, Central Mass is an ideal location for geocaching. The geocaching festival is five days of geocaching and social and fun activities on and off the trails. Check out the event schedule.

Latin American Festival

The Latin American Festival is a magnificent celebration of diversity. More than 15,000 people have come in the past to enjoy a day of FUN, ENTERTAINMENT, CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES and more. This event is FREE and open to the public.
