Worcester On The Moon

Celebrating 100 years of space exploration and technology, Worcester is home to innovation and manufacturing that moved the needle in extraplanetary exploration. The first rocket was launched in Auburn and was developed in Worcester. Apollo 11 moon landing technology, including the suits astronauts wore and the headset Neil Armstrong used to communicate with Earth, were made in Worcester. On July 20th, Worcester will showcase its historic and existing innovation with a series of events and exhibits. You will be pleased by what you discover!

The Other Side of Kelley Square

By 2021, Kelley Square in Worcester Massachusetts will transform into a stunning gateway for one of the state’s most up and coming neighborhoods. By contrast, right now Kelley Square is the state’s most dangerous intersection; it’s no wonder that sometimes the “other side” of Kelley Square gets overlooked. Millbury Street is more than just a ready-made vintage movie set for Bradley Cooper to do his bidding. (See: American Hustle 2013.) This pocket of the city is alive with bustling small businesses that have been ingrained in the community for a long time.
