It’s that time of year again where family and friends gather for cookouts, festivals, concerts, and extravagant fireworks that explode across the summer sky. Check out our list of fun events and come celebrate the Fourth of July with us in Central Massachusetts!

Dazzling Firework Displays 

Did you know the first Independence Day fireworks were set off on July 4, 1777? Fireworks are an annual American tradition to celebrate our Independence. Check out our fireworks schedule to see when you can catch an eye-opening display of “red, white, and blue” blazing through the sky. 

Blazing Bonfires 

Heat things up this Fourth of July with a bonfire.

Concerts 

Get ready to turn up the noise. Grab a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy live musical performances by some of the best bands in the area.

Independence Day at Old Sturbridge Village 

Step back in time when visiting this living history museum in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. On July 3rd and 4th, celebrate the holiday in 19th century style. Enjoy marching in a citizen’s parade, play 19th century baseball, march with the militia, and sign a giant copy of the Declaration of Independence. Enjoy a picnic on the common with delicious summer BBQ food. And on July 4th only, watch the Citizen Naturalization Ceremony occur on the Village Common.
