Over 10,000 Expected in Downtown Worcester

Discover Central Massachusetts is proud to announce that the 2017 “Northeast Knockout” is returning to Worcester, Massachusetts! This incredible event will be held at the DCU Center in beautiful downtown Worcester (50 Foster Street Worcester, MA, 01608) from January 7th – 8th, 2017.

Featuring the Best Teams in The Region

The Northeast Knockout will feature the best teams in the region to compete over a two day event.  Priority seating has been designated at the DCU Center for this event. This seating arrangement guarantees that all parents and spectators have a clear view of their child performing during this special competition. Although there are several dance and cheer competitions throughout the country, the Northeast Knockout is one of the best atmospheres for competitive dance and cheer enthusiasts to attend!

Scoring Method Creates Competitive Event

Each team at the Northeast Knockout has the opportunity to compete twice on a 54’X42’spring floor (for added safety), with the combination of those two scores used to determine the winner for each event.  Leveling systems are in place as well, to ensure that all competitors are matched up against teams of similar ability level.  This unique feature creates a much more competitive event, thus another reason why this event is so popular in the competitive dance and cheer realm.

Winners Will Receive Coveted Prizes

The Northeast Knockout also provides more prizes than any other national championship for dance and cheer events across the nation!  All teams earning National Championship recognition at the Northeast Knockout will receive the coveted Spirit Sports National Championship back-packs.  In addition, all teams at the event will receive a placement/participation banner and each Grand Team Champion will receive a custom made six foot banner to hang in their corresponding gym back home.  Prize money will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place programs for all division 1 and division 2 teams competing at the event. Also, teams placing 1st - 3rd in their division will receive points towards the Varsity All Star’s Conference Cup Challenge.
