The Town of Auburn, located in Central Massachusetts, was incorporated in 1778. Auburn is a vibrant community, combining the charm of a New England town with the convenience of an excellent transportation network and a robust commercial and industrial base. The first of Dr. Robert Goddard's liquid propelled rockets was fired in 1926 at a site that is located in the Pakachoag Golf Course, a municipally operated, beautiful nine-hole facility.
