Presented By: Worcester Department of Public Works & Parks and Mass Audubon Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary

The Quinapoxet Reservoir is a major source of drinking water for the City of Worcester. Much of the watershed area that drains into the Quinapoxet is located in Princeton. This connection to the land is why the city contributed funds towards protecting Fieldstone Farm, which drains to South Wachusett Brook ultimately flowing into the Quinapoxet Reservoir. Join Worcester Reservoir Watershed Forester Kevin Scherer for a tour behind the gates into the reservoir. We will highlight the species of wildlife that benefit from these protected waters and land around them, including moose, bald eagle, and more. Please note that these lands are not open to the public except for scheduled educational programs such as this one. Meet at Wachusett Meadow and we will take the van and carpool to the "Quinnie" making note of brook crossings and wetland areas that make up the watershed. Fee: $15 Members, $18 Nonmembers Registration is required. Register online or call 978-464-2712 to register by phone.
