Celebrating & Recognizing Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the Oval Ice-Skating Rink

Date: January 17, 2022 at 1:00pm to 6:00pm

In 1963, Dr. King delivered his famed "I Have a Dream" speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Throughout the speech, Dr. King looked to America's core principles that freedom and equal opportunity are the foundation of our country.

Throughout the weekend leading up to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all Oval guests are encouraged to share and write down their “dreams” to be displayed on The Oval’s Skate Shack. On Mon. Jan. 17, the first 150 guests to stop by the Skate Shack will receive an MLK Jr. commemorative postage stamp, stamped “Greetings from Worcester” postcard to send to a friend or family member along with “I Have a Dream” pencil.

Please note that masks are recommended for all attendees in and around the Oval Ice-Skating Rink. Masks are required for those that are skating or on the ice.
