More than 50 species of fungi are visible in winter woodlands as fruiting structures. Learn to identify these structures, many of which are found year-round. This 2-part class will teach you to recognize and appreciate organisms in a particular group, with the goal of developing the ability to identify other components of our local biodiversity. Classes will be both indoors and outdoors using photos and specimens and there will be ample time to explore the sanctuary trails and put that practical knowledge to use. This series is equally suitable for beginners as well as those who want to deepen their knowledge.
