Exhibit Opening: Karen Reid, "Mental Notes"

Date: February 16, 2018

"Mental Notes" is a solo exhibition of oil and wax paintings by Karen Reid. Hovering between abstract and landscape, her compositions are gestural, colorful explorations of memory and place.

At 6:15 PM the evening of the opening, Reid will give a brief artist talk answering questions in the gallery. The artist’s reception is open and free to all. Parking for the opening and viewing appointments is available in the City’s Federal Square lot, across Main Street from the Hanover Theatre.

Karen Reid studied at the Art Institute of Boston, the South Shore Art Center, the Fuller Museum in Brockton, the Danforth Museum in Framingham, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, where she earned her diploma in Fine Arts. She has studied many forms including drawing, painting, ceramics, monoprint and encaustics. Presently, her drawing and painting employ oil paint, watercolor, wax and charcoal. Her work has been exhibited throughout New England.

After the reception, viewings are by appointment (also free) through June 6, 2018. To make an appointment, please email us or call 508-755-5142.
