Tower Hill Botanic Garden is displaying a cutting edge exhibition called Growbots through Nov. 10. In this exhibit, visitors can see plants move closer to light sources by sending signals to a robotic wheel base. Growbots challenges the conventional notions of plants as stationary life forms. Created by Harpreet Sareen, a professor at Parsons School of Design in New York, the Growbots use electrical currents sent through the stems of plants to move the machines to various light sources over the course of the day. The exhibit is displayed in Tower Hill's Limonaia conservatory surrounded by subtropical plants. Tower Hill is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting people and plants and is located at 11 French Drive in Boylston, Mass. For more information, please visit
