Presented By: Latino History Project of Worcester

YOU'RE INVITED!

Join us for a panel discussion of this year's theme spiritual and religious faith and practice in both the history and present lives of the Worcester Latinx community during our annual celebration. At the Worcester Historical Museum, 30 Elm Street.

Panelists from the community will explore the deep meaning and wide diversity of traditions and experiences of “lo sagrado,” or “the sacred,” in daily life. Beginning with a discussion of the roots of these spiritual traditions at the intersections of Indigenous, African, Caribbean, and European cultures, we will discuss their relationship with traditional religious institutions, their roles in shaping community life and political organization, and their personal meaning for individuals across the many social cultural backgrounds represented within the community. Music and refreshments.
