About the Concert
The sparkling soprano voice of Maria Ferrante and the brilliant technique of Brett Maguire join forces to create a most enjoyable and uplifting evening to close the festival week.

No strangers to Mechanics Hall, both have appeared on the Great Hall stage frequently.

About Maria Ferrante
Soprano Maria Ferrante maintains a full schedule of performances on both the local and international stage. Her name has become familiar to audiences world over. A winner of the Mario Lanza Voice Competition, she has been acclaimed by the Washington Post and the Boston Phoenix. Richard Dyer of The Boston Globe has called her “a true singing actress… Maria Ferrante broke my heart last night.” Maria's performances have delighted audiences worldwide. She has recorded for Naxos, Albany, Navona Records and AFKA labels and also has four solo CDs to her credit.

About Brett Maguire
Brett Maguire, a graduate of Holy Cross and Oberlin, is currently the Assistant Director and Accompanist for the Worcester Chorus. He won a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship and performed a solo organ recital at Notre-Dame in Paris, and returned to France the following year and took First Prize and Prize of the Audience in the 2005 André Marchal International Organ Competition in Biarritz.
