Southeast Asia Artists-in-Residency

Date: August 12, 2019 - September 22, 2019

Presented By: Worcester Art Museum

The Worcester Art Museum welcomes Richard Streitmatter-Tran from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Jennifer Teo, representing the artist collective Post-Museum of Singapore, for the 2019 Southeast Asia Artist-in-Residency—a collaboration with the Southeast Asian Coalition of Central Massachusetts and Indochina Arts Partnership. During their six-week residency at WAM, the artists will hold weekly, drop-in studio open houses for the public, meet and collaborate with local artists, give talks to area youth, engage with Art Alternatives—a partnership with the juvenile court system—and participate in the StART on the Street festival on September 15.

The Southeast Asia Artist-in-Residence Program is supported by the Worcester Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Additional in-kind support is provided by the three collaborating organizations, including the Worcester Art Museum, Indochina Arts Partnership, and the Southeast Asian Coalition of Central Massachusetts.
