The Whitin Community Center is pleased to announce our newest event the Whitin Park Fall Food Festival! This Fall event will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 11am-3pm, in our beautiful 7.5 acre Whitin Park, 60 Main Street in Whitinsville. The Whitin Park Fall Food Festival will encompass a wide variety of Food Truck Vendors and Event Vendors from all around New England, Beer Garden, Fun Fall Activities, Pumpkin Contest, FREE Bouncy House, Corn Hole, Giant Lawn Games, Live Music from SOAR & much more! Admission is a $5 donation per person, and children ages 5 & under are FREE! Our amazing food trucks scheduled for this event include: The Cod Squad/Captain Marden’s Seafoods, Anzio’s Brick Oven Pizza, GottaQ Smokehouse BBQ, Sara’s Sweets Curbside Cupcakes, Cake Shop Café, Say Cheese!, Jeremiah’s Finest Soft Serve, Moe Street Eats, Nonnie Roses, and The Fudge Lady! So far the wonderful participating event vendors are LuLaRoe, Milford Federal Savings & Loan Association, B&W Designs, Elderwood Home Care, Friends Of Peace Of Bread, Touchstone Crystals, Webster First Federal Credit Union, UniBank, Rescom Exteriors and Arbonne! This is a family event with many FREE activities including face painting, bouncy house, StoryWalk, Kids Scavenger Hunt, WCC Balloons, giant lawn games, which include Bucket Pong, Giant Angry Birds, Pumpkin Bowling, Pumpkin Tic Tac Toe, Pumpkin Checkers and Corn hole, Coloring Books, WCC Playground, & more! Children and adults can participate in the painted pumpkin contest, bring your own or buy one of ours, winners will be announced at 2:30pm. Money raised from this year’s event will go directly to supporting two local non-profit organizations - the Whitin Community Center and Friends Of Peace Of Bread. If you are interested in volunteering at this fun event, volunteers receive FREE refreshments and t-shirt! Volunteer tasks include volunteer coordinator, park clean up, setup, take down, collecting donations, handing out programs/flyers, collecting entrance fees, face painting, scavenger hunt table, playground monitor/coloring book table, bouncy house, and park maintenance.
