Culinary creations are served all ArtWeek-long! Visit the restaurants listed here d from April 27 – May 6 and taste flavors inspired by art!
Each of these partner restaurants will feature a special ArtWeek menu item inspired by a piece of art, a favorite album, an artist or arts group – nothing is off the table! The best part? Some of these restaurants have generously committed to purchase arts supplies for local schools, libraries and community centers.
In Central Massachusetts, you can try Nick Jonas's Bacon Song at Figs and Pigs, Dragons Fire of Korea at The Flying Rhino, or a rendition of their restarurant's wall mural at deadhorse hill. Also check out BT’s Smokehouse, Lock50, and simjang for more unique plated art.

Friday May 4
Sip and Shop at Worcester Center for Crafts - FREE!
As part of the 2 1/2 day Pottery Invitational that takes place each year at the Center, guest curators will provide a background of the event, which takes place this year from May 4 - 6. Over 20 featured potters will be giving demonstrations that evening. Come meet your favorite potters over drinks and snacks.

Gallery Opening at ArtsWorcester - FREE!
Come 15 minutes early at 5:45 PM for a Q&A that will prepare you for an interactive journey through various terrains of artistic genres of the new exhibit - Modes of Inquiry. You will receive cards to answer questions along your journey, and answers will be shared on social media following the event.

Quilting Demonstration with Music
Visit Worcester Historical Museum and view exhibit, “quilts · practical pieces;” guests are invited to an interactive demonstration on quilting at 1:00 p.m. Create a self-portrait square for the portrait-themed quilt celebrating our city, our history and our future from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Enjoy live music by the Worcester Youth Orchestra at 2:30 p.m. It will be a day filled with music, community building and art! ArtWeek activities are free with museum admission.

Sunday May 6
Artifakt Studios Mural Jam - FREE!
A curated group of local and regional artists will create murals on various outdoor walls, the public will be able to watch as the artwork is created. Guests will have a chance to interact with artists, ask questions, take pictures and more.

Paint a Mural at University Park! - FREE!
Public art often draws people to public places and serves as a key ingredient for urban revitalization! Try your hand at making public art as local artists guide you through the process of painting a vibrant new mural at the University Park playground. All ability levels welcome, youth encouraged! (This event is for youth ages 8-17.)

Painting Day for Kids - FREE!
Local artist Edmi Ortiz will conduct a Saturday afternoon “Painting Day” for kids, special for ArtWeek and in honor of Dia de los Ninos/Dia de los Libros/Children’s Day, Book Day. We will provide canvases and materials for this cultural event combining visual arts and literature. Recommended for children ages 6 – 12.

Art + Music Family Concert
The Worcester Chamber Music Society will mix classical music with a splash of art! Works of art by Franklin’s Elementary School students will be projected above the musicians during performance, and dancers will perform while giving the kids in the audience a chance to participate and create art in real-time. Later, get to see the music instruments up-close.

Jane Week - Free
Until May 6
Jane Week gives Worcester residents and visitors a chance to connect to each other, explore Worcester by foot and participate in interesting discussions on how we can enhance the design and function of our city. The event is named for Jane Jacobs, an urban theorist and activist who championed a community based approach to city building. Jane Week in Worcester is primarily composed of Jane Walks, volunteer-led walking tours, a pop-up parklet, a film and forum. Jane Week in Worcester joins an international movement that occurs the first week in May in over 250 cities across the world.
