Located right in the heart of Worcester sits Newton Hill, an active and vibrant city park that contains basketball and tennis courts, walking trails, a fitness circuit, and of course disc golf! The Newton Hill Disc Golf Course was constructed in 2009 and is maintained by the Friends of Newton Hill. The course is very challenging with steep elevation changes and technical terrain. Who would have thought there was hiking combined with disc golf in the middle of the second biggest city in New England? It is recommended you wear your hiking shoes for this round! Barre Falls Disc Golf Course is found in the 22,000 acre Barre Falls Dam nestled in the Ware River Watershed. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages the course along with the entire Barre Falls Dam property located in the towns of Hubbardston, Barre, Oakham, and Rutland. In addition to playing a round of disc golf, you can enjoy other recreational activities such as canoeing, picnicking, hunting, fishing, hiking, horseshoes, mountain bike riding, horseback riding, volleyball, and birdwatching. +more

Another great disc golf course run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, David Stidham Disc Golf Course at Buffumville Lake is a scenic yet challenging course that will be sure to test your skills. The course weaves in and out of the woods and players will notice the large lake that comes in to play on numerous holes. In addition to the disc golf course, Buffumville Lake also offers recreational opportunities such as swimming, picnicking, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, hunting, fishing, and boating. +more
