City of Worcester Independence Day Celebration Presented by Bay State Bank
WHEN: Thursday, July 2nd
WHERE: Cristoforo Colombo Park (East Park) - 180 Shrewsbury Street, Worcester MA
This year’s celebration marks a historic milestone as Worcester joins communities across the nation in commemorating 250 years of American independence, while also recognizing the City’s unique and significant place in the nation’s founding story.
The free, family-friendly event will bring together residents, families, and visitors from across Central Massachusetts for an evening of celebration, entertainment, and community connection.

SCHEDULE:
5:00 p.m. – Park opens: Food Court, Sponsor Exhibits & Giveaways, Entertainment, and Family Activities
7:00 p.m. – Live Music Performance
9:30 p.m. – Fireworks display with synchronized music broadcast
Featuring Live Music by Dan Gabel and his Orchestra.
FAMILY FUN TIPS:
- Kids will love the splash park, and playground, plus cotton candy and other tasty treats for sale at the park! Bring a picnic blanket and chairs to enjoy this fun family event.
- Look for the Kid Zone, with activities from sponsor Market32 & Price Chopper, plus a Teddy Bear Clinic hosted by Family Health Center of Worcester
