The 2021 Worcester Wine Festival Grand Tasting promises hundreds of wines from around the globe, all in the heart of Polar Park. Presented by Mass Food & Wine, this event brings together food and wine enthusiasts of New England at one of Worcester’s freshest venues, with incredible representation from vineyards, wineries and distributors all over. Wrap up the summer on Aug. 28 with the ultimate taste test.

Taste of Shrewsbury Street

The Taste of Shrewsbury Street is an evening of amazing food, live entertainment, and block parties. Over 40 local eateries from Worcester's "Restaurant Row" will be giving out samples of some of their signature dishes while live music and local vendors line the street. Don't miss one of the biggest parties of the year! Get your tickets here. This is the Shrewsbury Street Merchants' Association's biggest fundraising event of the year, with proceeds benefiting the beautification of Shrewsbury Street, as well as local children's charities.

From Aug. 12 through Aug. 29, the folks at Old Sturbridge Village explore what really happens after “Happily ever after...” An enchanted farm and fairytale characters live beside one another at Fairy Tale Farm, as guests walk to various buildings that transform into stages—at which you’ll witness characters facing real-world, grown-up issues. The stories of Goldilocks, Pinocchio, Little Red Riding Hood and more are presented as you’ve never seen them before (and more relatable than ever).  


Sunflower Fest at SummitWynds, Jefferson Massachusetts

Sunflower Farm Fest, SummitWynds 

On multiple days throughout August and September, you can walk through 600 feet of color in the Sunflower Stroll at SummitWynds. A tranquil experience awaits you in the fields, as well as food truck eats, lavender/sunflower-infused treats and live music for the listening. Cut your own sunflowers and bring home a bit of the adventure for family, friends or a lovely little memory.  


Festival of Illumination, Mendon Massachusetts

The Festival of Illumination, Southwick’s Zoo 

Beginning in September through the holidays, Southwick’s Zoo debuts an illumination of lights with custom-built exhibits and hundreds of handcrafted Chinese lanterns, the largest of its kind to be hosted in New England. When darkness falls each night, the lights come alive to spark wonder in every viewer at the Festival of Illumination.

DogFest trots on over to Polar Park on Sept. 19, benefiting Canine Companions in its wake. A day of service dog demos, contests, vendors, local mascots, food, music and surprises, this one’s for humans and canines alike. Meet fellow dog enthusiasts or bring your own for a fall kickoff with your most loyal pal.

Inaugural Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival, Polar Park 

Polar Park brings out all the stops yet again, with its inaugural Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival, inviting fans on the field to imbibe and enjoy. Oct. 2 brings 25 food trucks and 30 craft beer breweries for a Saturday night in Worcester like no other. Tickets are $35 a piece, which include a $10 food truck voucher and 10 drink tickets for a little taste of everything.
