Joshua Bell Performs at Mechanics Hall October 29
Joshua Bell boasts a 30 year career as a solo violinist that has resulted in over 40 CDs and an impressive biography.
Bell has worked with several artists on projects including the Grammy Awards and the Oscar-winning movie The Red Violin soundtrack.
When Bell performed in a D.C. subway station - a writer from the Washington Post took notice. The article, which was written about Bell’s subway performance, earned the writer a Pulitzer Prize. That was in 2007 and since then Bell has risen to international fame.
Bell is also a member of President Obama’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, and has traveled to Cuba on a cultural mission to use music as a diplomatic tool.
