About Museum of Russian Icons


The Museum of Russian exhibits one of the world’s largest collections of Russian icons—sacred paintings used for veneration in the Orthodox Christian tradition—along with rotating exhibits, films, concerts, and programs. With more than 1,000 icons and related artifacts spanning six centuries, the Museum offers a unique and personalized experience rich with art, history, and culture. 

CONFERENCE & MEETING SPACE: 
The Museum of Russian Icons has an auditorium of 1,142 square feet, which accommodates a maximum of 30 people for meetings and 80 people for lecture-style presentations. It holds 64 people for dinners, using eight 60-inch round tables. The museum also provides an 844-square-foot library, which takes a maximum of 12 people for meetings using conference tables. The museum also supplies audio-visual equipment.  

FEATURES  
The Museum of Russian Icons was founded in 2006 as a nonprofit educational institution by Massachusetts art collector and industrialist Gordon B. Lankton. Including more than 1,000 Russian icons and artifacts, the collection is the largest of its kind in North America and one of the largest private collections outside Russia. The auditorium features a state-of-the-art audio-visual system, including Bose speakers, free Wi-Fi, conference calling capabilities and an attached caterer’s kitchen for easy food service.

The museum specializes in small, intimate events that are sure to leave your guests with a lasting impression and appreciation for the arts. Create your own playlist and let the music flow through our state-of-the-art Bose speakers while your guests enjoy the elegant atmosphere and rest their drinks on our granite-top cocktail tables. The kitchen facility, complete with full-size refrigerator and dishwasher, can be used by you or your caterer for hors d’oeuvres or sit-down dinners. After-hours events have the added luxury of a private museum experience that includes all the museum’s unique and world-renowned galleries.
