About Rutland State Park

Rutland State Park is a 300-acre recreation area with developed facilities for fresh water swimming, picnicking and boating. At Whitehall Pond, there is a swimming beach and adjacent picnic area. The park office is located off of Route 122 near the Long Pond Boat ramp. The Recreation Area is located off of Route 122A in Central Massachusetts.

From Worcester: Take Rte 290 West to Exit # 18 or Rte 290 East to Exit #17.  Follow Rte 9 West to set of lights at Park Ave.  Go straight through lights (don’t follow Rte 9 anymore) following the Worcester airport signs to junction with Rte 122 North in Tatnuck Square.  Continue straight up the hill following Rte 122N into Paxton Center.  Stay on Rte 122N for 5 more miles to blinking light at Rte. 122A South.  Take a right onto 122A S and follow for half mile.  Take a left onto Fishermans Rd & then take your next right into the park.  Follow for 1.5 mi. to recreation area.
