Rushnyk: Sacred Ukrainian Textiles sets out to explore Ukrainian culture through an ancient and valued tradition. Rushnyks are long, rectangular cloths, often woven in a solid piece from linen or hemp. Mar. 4 / Peter and the Wolf - Free Family Concert / Worcester
The musical fairy tale of the little boy who, with the help of a bird, a duck and a cat, outsmarted the big, bad wolf, is a favorite introduction to classical music for kids of all ages. Worcester Chamber Music Society musicians will perform the piece with narrator extraordinaire Rohan Gregory. In conjunction with Youth Art Month, drawings created by Worcester Public School students will be projected above the musicians to compliment the storytelling. Worcester Art Museum will be welcoming a new exhibit in March. This exhibit will reunite two early Italian panel paintings since they were seperated from their orginal altar: the Annunciation at the Musée du Louvre and WAM's Miracle of San Donato. These paintings are sure to provoke thoughtful conversation and civil debates about the mindset of the young Leonardo and the Renaissance era. +discover

The Salisbury Singers will present a celebration of cantatas 17, 93, and 111 by J. S. Bach, accompanied by the Bach Consort of Worcester, which will also perform Bach’s famous concerto for oboe and violin in the recently renovated sanctuary of Trinity Lutheran Church. +discover
