For the spooky season lover, Phantoms by Firelight is the perfect event to set a haunted tone. At sundown, Old Sturbridge Village’s New England-inspired rural appearance excites evening goers with its mysterious and eerie surroundings. This family-oriented event features festive foods and drinks, crafts and games, along with storytelling by firelight. Impressive performances by fire jugglers and gravity-defying acrobats and fascinating folklore of the Halloween Museum embody the true spirit of the night. The Spooky Selfie Contest encourages attendees to dress in costumes and post a selfie via social media for a chance to win tickets to a special December event. Stop by for cider donuts and hot apple cider on Halloween night for an exciting thrill with the family!

Halloween Party by Worcester Public Library 

October 14 at 4 p.m. 

Worcester Public Library is a special spot for kids' Halloween fun. The Halloween Party at Roosevelt Branch becomes a hub for families and children ages 4 to 11 to engage in Halloween festivities of all sorts. Think: games, arts & crafts, favors, and treats for the whole crew. Kiddos are welcomed to stop by in costume for the party.

Pumpkin Carving

October 19 from 7 to 9 p.m.

For the 21+ crowd, The Mercantile features a pumpkin carving bonanza on Oct. 19. With your $25 ticket, you'll get all the carving materials you need—pumpkin included—plus a pumpkin beverage of your choice. Think: beer, cider or a specialty pumpkin martini.

Douglas Orchard & Farm Halloween Festival 

October 22

Join the Douglas Orchard crew at the farm for Halloween Festival, a seasonal soiree where everyone (including pups!) will be in costume. Main events include chatting with a "real witch," a dog parade, a Dance Sensations performance and a kids scavenger hunt.
